For what is a really challenging subject, this was a really good course. I found the trainers personal testimony with regards to the subject very honest and open and really bought the course to life

As a psychiatric nurse and mental health first aid instructor i am very familiar with the content of this session, however it was great to see that the training offered was much aligned to that of the MHFA, NHS and other relevant charitable organisations. Helen was a great trainer, manged the pace of the session well and was very engaging. I found it to be a useful refresher.

I thought a course of this nature would have given real -life examples which would have allowed those being trained to contemplate the hear and now, what would we have done if faced with that call. It is a sensitive subject, Helen was very patient, I perhaps was expecting the course content to be a little more advanced.

Thoroughly enjoyed this course - the material provided and the trainer. Despite the subject matter I feel reassured when dealing with clients on the telephone presenting with these thoughts. I hope this makes me a better adviser as a result. I great big thank you and recommendation for me.

I thought Helen was very engaging and knowledgeable about the course topic. She also gave a very human approach to the training course and wasn't worried to show emotion which is actually quite rare. I felt this allowed everyone else to feel relaxed to share their experiences and really gain as much from the course as possible.

Helen made it clear from the start of the course that due to the nature of the topic, there was no pressure to discuss anything we did not feel comfortable with. Throughout there were regular check ins on everyone participating to make sure we were following the discussion and that we were okay with what was being talked about. The information itself was very educating and eye opening. The course was engaging and Helen herself was just amazing. Helen was very patient with going through the various aspects of the course. The course itself had information that was rather surprising for myself, but at the same time, it was good to be made aware of the information. The tips and tools provided were easy to understand and I can see their potential and that they will be useful when dealing with difficult cases in the future.
