Great course, just the right amount of talk with activities. Helen ensures all are engaged. I did after the training create my own crib sheet to pull out the quick bits. We had a suicide call the following day and I found the initial panic of remerging what was learnt could be replaced by having a quick pull up to help meResponse : Thank you Treca for the feedback. It's great to know you took some key things away and created a crib sheet to support you. I'm sorry to hear you experienced that call the next day. These can be very distressing. Thank you for using everything we covered in the training to support that individual in crisis. You will have definitely made a difference and helped them feel listened to and that they have other options to explore. I hope you took some time out after the call to look after yourself too.

Helen is a very warm person. It was easy to open up, and ask questions without feeling silly or intimidated. I enjoyed both the knowledge and experience of Helen but also the personal aspect which created a great environment for sharing individual experiences in an open forum. I was in the second training session done at CAP by Helen. This session was very helpful and covered a lot of practical points to refer to/think of when dealing with a suicidal call.
