I'm speechless. This course was moving, powerful, actionable and an absolute essential for life but especially those who are more likely to be exposed to people are considering suicide.Response : Carolyn, thank you for this heartfelt feedback. Helen was an insightful and knowledgeable trainer. She made a difficult subject accessible and meaningful, using personal events to hit home the importance of being able to have these delicate but life-saving conversations. I will take away a tool kit that will definitely make me more confident in dealing with suicidal conversations in the workplace and in the general public.Response : Thank you Kellie for the kind feedback. Helen is passionate, emotive, supportive and shares great knowledge in this training session. I thought I had quite a lot of advance knowledge on the topic but I found I learnt refreshing new ideas, facts and methods to take away. Throughout the training I felt safe and comfortable to talk openly on the topic without a fear of getting it wrong. The workbook and break out sessions support the presentation and make it an interactive morning. Helens passion for prevention shines through the module to ensure everyone is fully equipped should they ever need to support someone in crisis. I have also learnt new transferable skills/information for other areas such as empathy/emotions and control.Response : Rachel, thank you for your lovely feedback. As you know this is a topic close to my heart and I'm pleased to know that I was able to share my knowledge and tools in a safe and comfortable environment. What's great to know is that you've also taken away some transferable skills that will help you in other conversations/situations you may encounter. It was great training, although a very difficult subject. Helen was fantastic, professional and knowledgeable. I really liked the course content, the interactions and taking time to think and reflect. I find the course invaluable not only in how to deal with the difficult calls, but also with difficulties in our lives. The best training I've had so far and I would like to thank Helen for providing this training and also sharing it with us. Great course, just the right amount of talk with activities. Helen ensures all are engaged. I did after the training create my own crib sheet to pull out the quick bits. We had a suicide call the following day and I found the initial panic of remerging what was learnt could be replaced by having a quick pull up to help meResponse : Thank you Treca for the feedback. It's great to know you took some key things away and created a crib sheet to support you. I'm sorry to hear you experienced that call the next day. These can be very distressing. Thank you for using everything we covered in the training to support that individual in crisis. You will have definitely made a difference and helped them feel listened to and that they have other options to explore. I hope you took some time out after the call to look after yourself too.
