The course has given me a much greater understanding of the legal frameworks that sit behind safeguarding decisions. As a Director, who has not come from an operational safeguarding background, I also feel I now better understand and appreciate the role and expertise of our social workers. I thoroughly enjoyed the course and have made some great contacts, who have also shared resources with me. I would highly recommend the course but I would have welcomed a few more case studies to work through, particularly examples that demonstrate best practice in safeguarding decision-making. I think this would have helped bring some of the learning to life and supported its application in practice. It has reinforced for me that, as a senior leader, I have an important role in setting the tone for safeguarding. I need to make sure safeguarding remains highly visible, is taken seriously and stays at the forefront of staff practice and decision-making.
Really great training session, engaging and informative. Andria was incredibly enthusiastic and encouraging and it was an extremely useful day to for use in the future in my role. Her style of training with theory taught using flip chart, PowerPoint and discussion, live cross examinations and some videos, made the session engaging and I’m sure will mean I will retain the information provided, thank you very much, I’m never enjoyed a Friday

Absolutely amazing course, probably the best course I’ve been on. Max was brilliant and made what could’ve been a boring slide show, into an engaging learning experience. The only criticism is that we can’t take Max with us on our assessments and meetings. Thank you!
