Extremely useful and informative. Excellent communication from Judith. Was engaging and the informal nature made it easier to feel comfortable. Small group was nice.

I still have a way to go in providing the type of report that I would like to create. I have not been an expert witness in an adversarial court and so I am a little anxious about tomorrow when we do cross examination. Todays training has eased my mind somewhat as it was quite relaxed and facilitated learning using examples from cases. I found this very helpful.

Very good course and well presented with great combination and knowledge and personal experiences. I think we should this though as a 3-day course: disclosure, completion of a witness statement and then this giving evidence course. HMPPS should be doing this sort of thing for any staff member that may have to give evidence or is involved in an investigation.

This was an excellent introduction for me covering all the important aspects of Expert Witness report writing. Many aspects that I was not aware of were highlighted today. Constructive feedback on participants' reports made this more educational. The course was well paced out and allowed plenty of time for questions and discussion. The trainer (Richard Stone) was very knowledgeable gave a lot of practical advice. The course was accompanied by detailed learning materials which can be referred back to in the future. I asked for some aspects to be clarified in relation to practice in Scotland.

Brilliant. Such a good speaker. Natural communicator and can explain complex topics easily. Managed to make it entertaining!
