I was completely destroyed, but I have learned a lot and there is so much to reflect upon. I did not know how to handle when sensitive information would be raised. I would suggest that some of us have no experience in court, and that we do not know how to even answer simple questions, or the majority of court etiquette - this makes the exercise doubly hard.

Good. I was pleased with the feedback I got from others on the course. I would like the team to have annual training in one aspect of investigation each year

Good overview of what is expected in an expert witness report

Good nice to have the perspective from the prosecution/defence side of what is expected.

Was not quite as specific to the role of FCI as I had thought it would be and was quite generalised.

A very useful and insightful course which was delivered at a suitable pace and level.

Really engaging and knowledgable trainer. Think there was some missing knowledge on the case but didn’t cause any major issues. Overall was a really enjoyable session.

The role play is great and I do recommend it. However, it would be better to know who you are going to be, perhaps the day before, so that you can prepare for your role play. In a real situation you would at least know who you are - it is very difficult to role play on the hoof when you are not that person and do not thoroughly know your witness statement. So not sure why we weren't given that opportunity... Other than that the course was great :)
