I can use some of the training especially when speaking to informants or registrants on the phone.
I have marked myself at 7 as I believe I need real time experience. The training has been exceptional.
Engaging facilitator, patient and open to tangents. Would happily attend a session run by them again
As I say, the investigation section sits more with criminal law. ACAS defines the Decision is separate from the Investigation manager. The investigation element suggested that the investigator made decisions on the outcome, and recommendations. In HMRC the Decision Manager is the owner of the discipline process and directs the investigation.
Although i understand this is not a course for specific areas of professions. it may be a good idea to have this or provide examples of layouts for different progressions to help with the understanding.
The break out room where shared reports were critiqued had the potential to be very beneficial, however the group I was in had a fire safety report to critique. The report was apparently a national standard form and was quite different to what we had been learning/focussing on in the course and certainly very different to an expert witness report for a medical expert witness case. So it felt like a real missed opportunity and I would have benefitted much more to be in a group with a civil expert witness / medical report to look at and discuss. I am surprised to have spent such a large amount of money to attend an expert witness report writing course but not to have seen an expert witness report draft or precedent. Fay was an engaging and informative teacher however and I learnt lots of useful tips and gained knowledge.
