I thought Jim was fantastic at delivering this course. It is rare that I feel engaged during a talk, let alone a two day course. I felt he was personable, knowledgeable and really thorough in all that he did. He always checked in with the group to ensure we were following. I genuinely enjoyed my time on the course, despite being extremely nervous coming into it. I would 100% recommend.

Useful event

Thank you for a wonderful training session. It gave me far more than an understanding of how to make effective decisions. I didn’t expect to learn so much about myself and where I sit within that process. The insights I gained will genuinely help me going forward in how I behave, how I respond, and how I approach decisions from now on. I also wanted to add that Dr Bannerman delivered the session exceptionally well, it was fast‑paced but still easy to follow, engaging throughout, and never dull. It kept my attention from start to finish.

Really good session, interesting and thought provoking. Learnt a lot about language, tone and how to structure reports. Kept the focus and interest throughout.

Engaging subject and Nicholas clearly experieneced and knowledgeable on the topic. In terms of improving my writing i feel this has massively helped me focus on what i want to write about. Knowing that letters are often reviewed and we are asked to add/change it would be good if the executice team could also receive this training so we are all working off the same sheet!

Really good session. Nicholas was very engaging and made us question everything and was clear with his guidance. Interesting and useful to review real life letters from our Trust. Could have spent more time dissecting these as it was really useful to put earlier discussions into context
