I found the trainer engaging and really knowledgeable. She struck an excellent balance maintaining authority, whilst remaining open to the opinions and experience of others. Really liked her!!!! The course material, while not new to me, served as a refresher on things I had leaned and now, to some extent take for granted, missing nuance. questions and discussion around "what is safeguarding " the 7 principles of the NHS constitution. All concepts that I'm familiar with but the nature of which can be lost in practice. I'm really glad I attended probably the best training of the year!

This session on the Coroners Court witness skills was incredibly informative and practical. Neil explained cross-examinations in depth covering tips, question styles, preparation and the key criteria we need to understand. The real-life cross-examination exercise with volunteers was especially valuable making the process feel realistic and much less intimidating. I also appreciated how interactive and supportive the session was along with the regular breaks to keep everyone engaged. Most importantly, Neil’s clear explanations and teaching helped remove the stigma often created by senior hospital management that the Coroners Court is a punitive environment. His teaching in fact showed that it is a structured, fair process rather than something to fear. Overall, it was an excellent and confidence-building session and I can honestly say that I have thoroughly enjoyed this training.
