Trainer was excellent. Been on two Bond Solon courses previously and they have both been great. Fabulous public speaker - and it was fun to hear (amongst all the legal terminology)use of more colloquial terms. Trainer was confident, articulate and even when the YouTube vid let her down, she was completely unflustered. Can totally understand how she works as a Judge and Barrister - was very in awe of her command of the room, so to speak, but still being friendly. Wish she worked out of Manchester Mags. Really enjoyed listening to her - though course should have more cat related interruptions.

Great trainer. Exactly what we wanted. Understood the LA role and had researched. Used great examples and explained everything at the correct level. Very engaging.

It was a very good course with a very knowledgeable trainer. Some of the material on days 1 & 2 around the criminal procedure rules was a bit heavy going but they were necessary for the course and relevant to the role so they did need to be there.

A lot of what was covered on the course is knowledge that the majority of the candidates knew already from years of experience as R&C Officers. Many of us have given evidence before on R&C cases. I would say the three day theory part of the course could be condensed, perhaps in to one or two days for more experienced members of staff. I know less experienced R&C officers found the overall course especially useful. Olwen, the trainer, was very engaging throughout. She offered everyone the opportunity to talk and share experiences. Olwen listened intently to everyone and was able to utilise our experience by giving examples and tailoring specifically. Everyone on the course was very engaging and interacted accordingly. I am looking forward to the practical face to face courtroom experience day.
