The initial training provided a good foundation to equip participants to be able to practically carry out interviews. The interviewing session itself felt very relevant and useful. I could see the benefits of the skills learnt and also how these could be applied to a number of evidence gathering methods.

From the moment it began, it was clear that the content was thoughtfully designed and delivered with real expertise. The session maintained a strong pace and focus throughout, and I found myself fully engaged from the introduction right through to the hands-on interview practice. Having previously trained police officers in interviewing, I’ve seen a range of trainer approaches, but your method stood out for its clarity, relevance, and adaptability to the SRA’s environment. An excellent days course full of information from basic understanding to where I need to understand further concepts of RIPA and actual errors being performed . Richard was extremely knowledgeable and answered all my SFQ's. The handouts and case studies were effective and I will use them should I need to in the future. It was at the right pace for me. Excellent to have the opportunity to put interview skills and planning into practice and to obtain feedback from such an experienced interviewer. The role play exercise was extremely realistic and enabled me to practice the skills and techniques that had been covered in the training.

I felt that the course materials and pre-course requirements were a bit disorganised. It would be useful to create a 'handbook' to go alongside the course that contains all the modules, slides and links to videos indicating what section of the course they are relevant to. However, overall the course was informative and well presented. The information, which seemed daunting on days one and two began to come together by day three and began to embed on day four. I listened to our trainer and 'trusted the process' and it worked!

The course and training highly resourceful and well taught by a very articulate and professional tutor. It is quite enriching towards becoming a qualified Best Interest Assessor
