I think the mental capacity elements of the course would be particularly helpful to all social workers even if not being BIA as was made very interested. The course was very full on and information heavy at the start for a few days but it all then came together on the last day and half and went from overwhelming to some how all making sense and I retained more information than I expected and also found the DoLS atlas very helpful, managed to print it off as a large atlas to help me and shared how i did this with others and the course was quite funny.

The case study could be more realistic to give attendees better experience of cross-examination.

A really great course. Teaching you not only the basics of the court process, but also providing more detailed knowledge on the role of a witness and how to deal with cross examination. The mock cross examination, whilst daunting, was invaluable experience - everyone's feedback was unique to them providing you with clear areas to work on.
