This program is for people who have quite a bit of knowledge already in the IT field. As a newbie, I felt extremely lost from the 1st day. I don't feel I got much out of this course.

The course is good and seems to be laid out well. Many times I had a hard time understanding what parts were being taught that had to do with Network defense as it seemed many of the modules had to do with Physical Security and Data backup more than defending the network. The understanding of IDS and IPS and firewalls were the main topics but there seemed to be a lot of the course that could be removed so that the main point of Network Defence (CND) could be covered. As I stated before the example tests should stick to the module that they are testing on. Many of the test questions were well outside the module they were supposed to be covering or were never covered in this class. Some were poorly written or vague where others had the answers that were as vague and hard to determine. Made me worry about the assessment and the CND certification test overall.

an additional 2 or 3 days so slow the pace and allow for more instructor lead review would be excellent.

Spent too much time on features we did not have access to on our computers.

The most significant difficulty I had was the transition to using a Zoom model of remote learning with all the tools available. I was not prepared either mentally or physically for a lot of what was presented. The Zoom model (when Students video and audio are OFF/Muted, doesn't seem to promote student interaction. Occasionally the instructor, although excellent in his demeanor/presentation and competency, felt inaccessible for one on one counseling/guidance. I have not attended remote learning activities such as this since 2008 and it proved to make the transition quite difficult. Maybe it would have been easier for me to absorb the material in 4hr increments over a two week period instead. ITIL is very cerebral and less hands on so the concepts were difficult to relate to the idea of IT at first however, eventually it began to sink in. Unfortunately i feel it was a bit too late. Over time I had come to understand the core of it but I believe the class could benefit greatly from the videos being implemented directly into the presentation and not as an aside. If this is not possible then at the very least ANIMATE the slides to match the diagrams presented for the ITIL Guiding Principle/ framework/processes and service value chains. If a static picture is worth a thousand words...Animations of that picture will be worth many less words and thus makes the presentation more efficient/valuable.

Overall time is the factor. When the recruiter reached out to me she didn't mention that even though it is a short course that you could resist for a while after your first class & that you would have access to the resources as well as the campus. Which knowing in advance would have helped me feel more at ease with the overwhelming information we started receiving on our first day. So far I love this school for what it's doing in listening and changing for our needs. I feel grateful I took the step and though I will have to resist network 1&2 I like that it will keep the semi-fast pace vibe (but with the extension we asked for). I'm hoping I'll just have to resist those two so I can take my exams by the beginning of November.

The course is good and the instructor is very knowledgeable; however, the timing of the course is not suitable for attendees who are not from east coast. The class starts at 8:30 a.m. EST but it is 5:30 a.m. PST. That might attract less attendees who do not live in east coast. Also, a long 8 hours online class is challenging for almost 3 days in the row. it might be easier and better if the class can break down to shorter duration and extra day or so.

It's very fast I think adding a few extra days for the Tech Topics after ITIL 4.
