Learning all of this information is already a lot. There was some extra info which is nice as a 'deep dive' but I think is unnecessary for the majority of students who are already struggling with some of the more basic concepts. For example, on the last day of this course there was info on how to calculate the metric of each hop count and what a NSSA area is and how that is important. These seemed extremely advanced topics for a more advanced class such as CCNP, but I would have rather spent more time on more relevant information. The instructor did a good job of walking us through some of the more dense information, which needs to be explained in very simple terms so students can recall it on the exam. I would like to see more explanations of the outputs of the commands broken down, as in the beginning cisco commands can spit out a lot of information and students could be confused if the information they were looking for was not there because they ran the wrong command or from the wrong mode. A quick tour of the command line interface, especially in the NetSim application on day 1 would go a long way.
I had a hard time with this class.. KJ was the best and i wish he did the whole class. We had to many different teachers and they all have there own way of teaching. I have to retake this class because i dont feel I am ready to test out.
This course was well taught. However the constant changing of instructors (4 instructors in 10 days) and methods they use to deliver instruction made it difficult to retain the information. I would recommend that with the volume of information being presented, the same instructor or type of instruction be consistent.
Network + was another enlightening IT learning experience for me. Willard Smith's lecture was fast and covered all the material for ACI CompTIA's Network+ and made time for questions.
The class was great and Instructor Walker was great too, he definitely knew his stuff. I just wanted to see some more diagrams of some of the things that was being said. By breaking it down and showing us would have made some of it make more sense to me.
I like the labs it gives a hands on approach. Eugene is a good instructor and explains things in simple terms.
A LOT of information thrown at you all at once. A lot to take in in just two weeks. And so many acronyms! omg
I feel that the CND class should be 4 weeks long instead of 2. Barring that, the course content is good. Adonis was by far the best instructor at ACI that I have had to date. He brought the course material to life with plenty of examples.
Instructor is very knowledgeable and takes the time to answer questions thoroughly. Made his intentions and goals clear from the beginning. Is aware of how night class' are different from the days. That's very important to take into account. Some of us have full time jobs and have to take care of a family. The course needs to be lengthened so it dos not feel so rushed. It is tons of information being thrown at you in a very short amount of time. If possible I would like to see a more flexible study group. I typically work through lunch as a necessity. I only made it into one of them and could only listen in because of where I was. I agree that videos should be on. Especially if your on grant or using the GI Bill. Unfortunately it can be hard to see who cant have video and who can. I actually had to keep mine off for a class because there was an emergency at work. I was able to listen in and take quick voice to text notes on my phone. Liked the idea of the labs. Can be a little iffy and hard to see. PBQ's and Practice were god tools to supplement the class. Finally I would like to see the use of an App as a mobile resource to do a quick study when abroad. Like between jobs when I have some time but not enough to jump on the portal.
