The webinars are by far the most valuable part of the training. Steve was fantastic. He really clearly and directly discusses pretty difficult content and he encourages discussion in a very natural way. I can't recommend him highly enough. I think the online modules are fine - they ensure the participants understand the basics. The online access to the manual is very clunky and basically forces you to pay extra for a hardcopy just to be able to access the content more easily.

Very informative and enjoyable course. Instructors encouraged participation from everybody and were very supporting. Enjoyed the break out sessions.

Both instructors were very engaging and led each module at the right pace and encouraged all our participation, which is great on training like this. Would like to be able to get the manual to buy individually.

I would say this is the best online training I've completed, and definitely the best training regarding mental health I have taken part in. Very engaging format with the situations to discuss in teams, and having info beforehand to read through meant then went it came to the discussions, I felt confident to contribute. I have already recommended this training to other people within my organisation and would recommend outside of it. Thank you!

The mental health first aid webinar was informative and engaging. It provided practical strategies and raised awareness about supporting mental well-being effectively. The session was well-structured and easy to follow.

I think it would have been beneficial to have completed role plays to be able to gain individual feedback, other than that, I cannot fault the course. Paul was terrific.Response : Great idea Sarah, will see how I can bring that into play in future courses.

Paul created a really safe and supportive environment for me and the other participants. He encouraged open discussion where we felt comfortable sharing experiences and views without fear of judgement or being dismissed. This approach meant everyone’s contributions were valued, which made the session engaging, fluid, and inclusive. Although slides and videos were used at points for reference or activities, I particularly appreciated that the focus was on two-way conversation. Unlike some training sessions where participants can become disengaged with hours of slide delivery, this felt interactive, dynamic, and genuinely impactful. Through my own experience I was able to relate to many of the example scenarios, but the training also helped me recognise that there isn’t always a single ‘right’ answer. It challenged me to reflect on how my personal experiences, while useful, may not always be the most appropriate way to support others. I found this perspective incredibly valuable, as it provided me with new tools, greater awareness, and broader exposure to the range of issues people may face.

Thanks Paul! Really insightful, useful course. You created a safe and comfortable environment for us to discuss everything openly.
