Practical scenario work and repeated use of the ALGEE framework help attendees translate mental health first-aid principles into calm, supportive action. They value knowledgeable, empathetic trainers who create safe, inclusive discussions, maintain a clear pace and encourage learning from peers. The blended modules, videos, handbook and breakout exercises build understanding and confidence that transfers to work and personal situations, although some find the online manual awkward to navigate.

Great course really enjoyed the interaction
I found the course content was framed in a problematic way, and was also very out-dated.
The course was taught at a good pace with continuous knowledge checking. The interactive group sessions I found invaluable, as I learnt a lot from my fellow participants. It was also beneficial to be put with a different group of people for each interactive session, which enabled me to learn from others' experiences. The tutor, Bobbie, had a very calming voice, but the way she spoke and interacted encouraged conversation. I would definitely recommend it, as I feel everyone should be aware of mental health and the effects of good mental health and not-so-good mental health.
