Adult eMHFA Wales Reviews

We were a small group of 5, this allowed people to feel comfortable enough to share personal experiences of supporting others with poor mental health. This really opened my eyes to the prominence of mental health issues and the taboo. We discussed practical ways to support colleagues that are struggling. I felt much more equipped to support someone after being on this course. Stella was very knowledgeable and really approachable. Diolch

Great. Only issue was showing video in the PowerPoint via Zoom, which looks like a technical issue. Might be better to provide a link to the video as well.

Really friendly, welcoming instructors. They explained things clearly and were respectful of everyone's answers in the group discussions. They were encouraging. In the discussions it was useful to hear people's experiences and apply this to what we were learning. The videos were really useful as the storytelling aspect helped it to be memorable, e.g. in the psychosis video it was helpful to have the testimonials from peoples real life experiences, and to hear how they would like to be helped. The scenarios we were presented with helped us to think about the order in which we'd use ALGEE in a real life situation. The e learning aspect seemed well paced and had a good mix of information to read and different tasks to do, such as filling in response boxes and click and drag exercises. I would recommend this course to anyone interested in mental health and those who are living with someone experiencing mental ill health. Thanks, Claire and Hayley!

Really good course - clear, concise, and informative. Not too much reliance on powerpoint, which is great. Plenty of group discussions to emphasise the point instead, which is much preferable. I knew quite a bit about anxiety and depression, but this course has really helped me learn a lot about psychosis. Hayley and Claire were very knowledgeable and professional and kept the course moving along well. The only slight negative would be the sound on the pschosis video, but I'm sure that's easily fixable.

We have been provided with a tool kit. Rather than being paralysed with uncertainty I feel better able to support individuals.

The course was very well delivered, both Bethan and katy were encouraging, supportive and knowledgeable throughout. The course has supplied me with the skills I need to apply to real life situations. I found the interactive parts of the course really engaging. Many thanks.

The pre modules and the webinars were very repetitive. More role play for the webinars may have been more useful as manager to set the online modules into practice

The slides and videos in the TEAMS training were a repetition of the on-line training. I understand the reason of reinforcement of information but duplication is more likely to put people off.
