Practical scenario work and repeated use of the ALGEE framework help attendees translate mental health first-aid principles into calm, supportive action. They value knowledgeable, empathetic trainers who create safe, inclusive discussions, maintain a clear pace and encourage learning from peers. The blended modules, videos, handbook and breakout exercises build understanding and confidence that transfers to work and personal situations, although some find the online manual awkward to navigate.

I felt that the course was excellently delivered and the content was incredibly helpful. I learnt so much in such a short space of time and I feel much more confident talking about matters involving mental health. I am keen to continue to learn more. I cannot recommend this course enough. Thank you Carol!

Response: You're very welcome. Thank you for your lovely feedback. I loved working with you all. I'm so chuffed that you have all volunteered for this - we need strong advocates in the mental health world. Thank you, Carol!

It was a great course, great instructor and great group of people to hear different opinions, ideas and learn from each other!

All aspects were excellent but I felt that some of the syndicate sessions were a lilttle bit too short

Ellender was helpful and knowledgeable, however the online manual was really difficult to use (no way to jump to the page you actually want) and the online content was 'clunky' to use.

Ellender is a fantastic Instructor, she is engaging and gets everyone involved. Her delivery of sometimes difficult topics was handled sensitively and with confidence in a way that made absorbing the relevant information as easy as possible. I had already had some MHFA training, but I definitley learned more and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience.

I found this course really interesting and feel that I have been able to take away a lot of information from this. I feel I have a better understanding of how to approach situations following this course.

I found the course to be very informative however I have dealt with individuals with mental health issues both severe and mild and would feel confident in using the ALGEE model even more following this course.
