Length of the course is about right as trying to cram all the topics in as well as a test in 3 days would be quite tight. It was also a good mixture of theory and practical exercises.

Response: Dear Stirling, Thank you for your comments. In response to your point about the 18th Edition. The wiring regulations are fundamental to any fixed wiring installation including DC telecoms systems. I appreciate that Racks are not considered part of the fixed installation but there are many similarities in the requirements in terms of methods of protection, equipment selection, inspection and testing. It is also important to understand the interfaces between the installation and the rack supplies, i.e. earthing and bonding etc. We also have trainees that attend these courses that work on the fixed wire DC installations. The content is primarily to ensure that Cat 1 engineers have an appreciation of the installations to the Racks as well as an appreciation of the internals to the rack equipment so that you are able to 'carry out prescribed electrical activities on ELV DC and LV AC systems'. I hope that helps clarify the content and objectives of this course for you.

Robert was very helpful and professional. A great trainer.

Had a great experience using PTT. Sam the trainer is a nice bloke and had extensive knowledge of the subject so I felt like I was in good hands. The refreshments and lunch was very nice.

Tests/course seemed to be more to do with knowing the BS7671 rather than EV charging. Thought there would have been focus on the actual EV charging element. Tutor was friendly and knowledgable

Joga was great and was clear, concise and happy to answer any questions we had throughout the course. the score has been marked down because I believe the practical element was limited to a few shows and tells and with the exception of some maths calculations, there wasn't much exercises.

City & Guilds 2919 This was a very good course and as it was done over one day, works out excellent value for money. Chris, the trainer was engaging, knowledgeable and helpful. The facilities were very good and there was plenty of tea and coffee provided.
