The training material was overly generic and did not feel tailored to my role. The trainer did not effectively link the content to practical application, and appeared reluctant to take questions or address concerns raised by delegates. The delivery was rushed, with little effort to check whether the audience was following. The first breakout exercise lacked purpose and felt superficial, giving the impression that the session was more about completing a set agenda than supporting meaningful learning. Overall, the session did not meet expectations, and I would not recommend it. Without prior knowledge, I expect participants would have found it difficult to gain any real understanding from the training.

Well run, organised course with a lot of information to learn. The literature shared was very supportive. A lot of information to process over 5 days but the face to face training and attachments supported this. Sue's enthusiasm for the subject shone through. The interactive elements were great to help us retain information. I enjoyed the course a lot more than I expected. I would recommend this course to others if relevant to their role.

Very informative, a lot of detail, case law, legislation to think of before deciding on deprivation of liberty.

Judith was fantastic. I was quite nervous before undertaking the cross examination, but she really put us at ease, whilst giving helpful pointers after the mock sessions.

Really great day. The theory session in the morning was a great help. Enjoyed the practical session as well. Good way to boost confidence and understanding.

I had good knowledge of MCA and DOLS before the training; however, the course improved my knowledge in BIA
