It was a good insight into personalities and being aware of patients personalities when communicating with them. TRainer was very engaging and kept the session moving.

there was lots of group discussion which was lovely, possible a bit too much time was spent on the morning sessions, but I realise we had a lot of group discussion which led to time being taken in the morning. The trainer felt we did not need to focus too much on denial, collusion, as we were most likely to have dealt with this in our work, this is true, however we were varied levels of experience in the group and it would have been benefitable to have had time to explore this, and have time for reflection on this topic. I felt the course was not so much about the clinical/nursing aspect in managing advanced communication, but a more generic communication and tools required.
