I enjoyed learning more about IT risks and controls during the IT Auditing and Controls course. The information I learned will be applicable to future audits. I was able to get a better understanding of the materials and relate it back to my job because our instructor researched our companies prior to the first day of classes, which showed that he was genuinely interested in making us better IT Auditors. Our class was set up with a table in the middle and seats surrounding the table which led to a collaborative environment.

More refreshments needed from the hotel

Overall was a pleasant learning experience. Peter did very well at making sure the material was understood by everyone in the class. He was easy to approach with questions and gave easy to understand answers. The staff on the conference center were friendly and were accommodating to specify needs.

The accommodation recommended was very expensive and upmarket for me anyway.

Not advanced course as you mentioned at the website

Great Class!!

The course truly met my expectations and I returned to work with better tools and understanding of the concepts of IT audits

Overall, the course provided some good information and checklists to use for future auditing assignments. However, the material did not delve into more recent technologies (i.e., data lake/Hadoop infrastructure concerns) which would have been very beneficial. Additionally, the delivery of the material could be improved, since it was largely "death by PowerPoint." The instructor did add some applicable stories or analogies to make the material easier to understand, but it was hard to stick with the material towards the end of each day due to the delivery.

You can certainly spend more time discussing Vendor Management, but the content presented was appropriate for the time allotted. Instructor was very knowledgeable in the topic and used great real life examples

Our instructor, Mark Edmead, was great! He's the type of instructor that resonates with my type of personality. He was easy-going, very knowledgable, and best of all, he used examples and cultural references that I could apply to technical subject matter to help me understand technical processes as a non-technical business auditor.
