It was a great introduction to every aspect of Comptia A+ There is still a lot of work to be done, but compared to attacking this on your own, it's night and day.

I would say it is appropriate for a new learner to get their feet wet, but they would have to put in the extra time to really comprehend the information needed to pass the certification testing.
