I feel more equipped to pass the certifications after this class. Kris covered a great deal of material and did his best to provide real world applications and examples. I guess the only thing wrong was there was so much that was just skimmed and not covered as well as it should because he only had 40 hours to cover all of it. I think he could do a much better job if he were given more time to teach, plus the fact that we're going till 10pm and I'm exhausted after working 8-10 hours a day, I'm done retaining info after 9pm. Kris has a lot of passion and is willing to help anyone be successful, that is what an effective instructor should be doing.
This course is horrible for hands on learning or for neuro-divergent learners. I did not have time to write notes during class as I was focused on the discussion. I did not fully understand the material, was too focused on memorizing rather than learning.
For me, the class was too face-paced. The quizlets are helpful, but there needs to be a book or downloadable content like the slides or a pdf to reference outside of needing to use the ACI Website. I feel like I really didn't retain nearly enough of the material.
kris was fine but the material was hard even for a 4 year security person. I dreaded coming to class because of all of this info.
I enjoy coming to class and the instructors.
