Lots of information but overall a good course.
The practice labs were very fickle and crashed often. Only accessible from some browsers. I ended up not doing many labs because a single one would take hours to complete and sprawl across numerous objectives. Test Out was superior.
This was the class i cared about the least, but afterwards I felt i learned the most from.
I do like this class because i learned a lot more than I was expecting to learn.
Good - The instructor! - How it was organized (NIST) - Open dialog - Real Life Examples Areas to Improve - Logging into Seminar not easy (just send out Zoom link and attach materials) - less breaks, longer lunch - Had to go out - Although it cant be avoided, some repeated material - More time for open dialog - Was hearing/learning good stuff from other people
I answered 'Yes' to meeting the stated objectives but I wanted to answer 'somewhat'. As I stated previously, the material was good and Fred did a good job presenting it. I would have expected at a minimum that as we ended each section that we would have circled back to the topic of the pandemic and related implications. I would estimate we did that a little more than 1/2 the time.
Considering that several people are attending from different part of the worlds (different time zones), the course should respect the time table and do its best to finish on time.
The section on virtualization 101 could have been either removed or quickly walked through because the CIP experts were already trained on virtualization. Also, the course should have been more directed towards the CIP standards.
Overall I think the class was great but it was a ton of information to digest over a very short amount of time. For those of us that have no experience with IT or have a very limited knowledge of computers it was difficult and frustrating at times. Overall though the material and instructors were able to help me adapt and overcome the ACE test.
