RRN Level 3 - Positive Behaviour Support & Physical Interventions Reviews

I normally really struggle with training courses like this. I’ve found this quite refreshing to be honest, the trainer had kept me engaged throughout. I like how he draws on previous experiences and uses practical examples from times when he was a support worker. The content has been great it’s taught me bits I didn’t know about. I wish I had this training when I first entered the profession, I feel like it would have enabled me to support the individuals I use to work with a lot better.

Amazing course and trainer. Made the course fun and interactive. Offered practical and bespoke feedback through out the course. Very approachable and respectful through out the training. Excellent breakaways and restraint that our young person might actually enjoy and might help regulate due to the security of touch. Checked understanding throughout and very, very person centred.

Overall this course has been amazing! This course has made me more confident when working with our young person. Ben has opened my eyes to how much more we can help our young person! I am now bursting with new ideas for our young person to have a better quality of life. This PBS training is the best course I have been on compared to other companies going above and beyond always person centred approach! Thank you Ben this course has been fantastic!

Ben showed passion and empathy throughout the course. He was very interesting and knowledgeable. After listening to him and his explanations I will certainly be looking at different ways of thinking on how I can best support the child I work with. This will benefit both the child and myself to develop a professional relationship where I know him and what to look for in his triggers and how best to support him gaining his trust and using de escalation skills to lower the amount of behaviours of concerns anf therefore giving the child a better quality of life. After the physical training I understand how safe this is for the child and that it does not hurt him and to let him know he his in a safe place. I have been blown away by the way Ben delivers training and I can not thank him enough for his support through this training

I have been trained by other providers in previous organisations, and when I was looking for a new provider I wanted someone different, I could see the flaws un all the other providers, the language used to support vulnerable children, the physical restraints and how none of them focused on the child themselves, seeing the child before the behaviour. On the website and from talking to Rachael it quickly became apparent that sherwood had the same mindset as I did. As a registered manager this is so important as the training must be right to embed the culture that I want in my staff team. I really enjoyed that the training covered the law, relevant legislation and the children's homes regulations. I have learnt how I want my PBS plans and RA to look, how I'm going to adapt these to meet the needs of each child, whilst also incorporating the law. This training has been the best PBS I have ever taken part in,it was the right pace, the right interaction and Ben was an excellent trainer who was able to share lived experiences which is also really beneficial. Thankyou Ben and Sherwood I will be booking training for the next new starters, so this positive culture becomes embedded within Virtue.Response : Hi Emma. Thank you for taking this time to leave feedback. We are really glad to hear you enjoyed the course and delivery by Ben and its fantastic to hear you can implement this within your role to benefit the children you support. At Sherwood Training we place a real emphasis on shared learning and experiences, we find it really helps people connect with the course content. We'll make sure to pass your feedback onto Ben and we look forward to working with you all at Virtue Health Services.

Excellent training from Ben on how to observe and look for cues you don't normal see like the red cars, to ensure people we support are given the best quality of life and we are all safe, really enjoyed the training and look forward to using the skills we spoke about to have more positive days with the guests we support.

It was an interesting course and an educating one at that. The trainer did a great job by teaching some important skills and practicals on how to enjoy working with residents. She’s indeed a fantastic trainer!

The course was very well put together with a mix of practical and theory both relevant to the area I work in. There is so much I can take forward and use in my practice. Easily one of the best courses attended. Kirstie kept the training interesting and engaged brilliantly with all of us. Fantastic all round, highly recommend.
