RRN Level 3: Restrictive Physical Intervention reviews

4.9 (6,163 reviews)
AI summary of reviews

Practical, safety-focused learning is the course’s defining strength: attendees say it links clear theory on positive behaviour support, de-escalation, law, dignity and least-restrictive practice to step-by-step demonstrations, realistic scenarios and repeated practice. They value knowledgeable, patient and approachable trainers who use humour, lived experience and feedback to keep demanding subjects engaging, inclusive and easy to understand. The well-organised sessions build confidence that transfers directly to supporting children, patients and service users at work, although some find the theory lengthy.

Course was very interactive which kept me engaged and able to take in information better. It was helpful to physically do the restraints at different points to understand how each work. I feel more confident doing safeholds at work now if I ever have too.

Great mixture of theory and practical. Ben took time to tweak staffs use of holds in a dignified way, ensuring positive experience. Each hold was demonstrated well, tailored to the individual if they had specific movement restrictions. As always Ben was well presented and approachable.

I thought the trainer John was brilliant, extremely engaging and knowledgeable. I missed the refer so had to do the three day course, it’s been about 5 years since I’ve completed the 3 day- I must say I think the training has come a long way and has come on leaps and bounds. Many of the new staff on the course said they felt the training they’ve had is the best of any job they’ve had
