RRN Level 3: Restrictive Physical Intervention Reviews

The training was relevant to my role and reminded me how significantly PBS impacts on the people I support. I was reminded on the need for effective communication and the factors that could influence a person's behaviour. I was also trained on the impact that trauma could have on a person's reaction to situations. I also learnt about triggers and cues and how to use the STEPS approach in managing behaviours of concern. I must always remember to use the least restrictive option.

The Course is very educating. Nyembani and Akin are very intelligent trainers, they made the trainings to be very engaging and inspiring. I learnt new things about the Arousal Model and I now have a more better understanding about the 6 phases of Arousal. I also now have a clearer understanding about Cognitive Biases and the roles I should play in stopping it's manifestation towards the people we support. I as well learnt new things about effective communication and efficient record keeping. In all, the course is very informative and Nyembani and Akin are so amazing trainers.
