Very interactive, and was really good to practice with trainer who was able to give more pressure so we could actually practice with force and know what it would feel like- this made me more confident with headlock and hair pulling technique

Ben was very engaging during this session. Learnt a lot of how we can find a hook to engage with the patient to prevent any physical intervention and to focus on de escalation. Thank you!

I thought the biting technique was the most valuable to learn. I also like how we were asked questions about ourselves it’s helped to know the group better. The trainer also did a great job of making things funny so it wasn’t so awkward putting strangers in a headlock :)

I enjoyed learning how to keep myself and others safe. I also felt reassured that even though some of the techniques appear painful they do not hurt the service user at all and maintains their dignity. Ben is very empathetic and his style of teaching is very engaging. Thank you

Really information course. Learnt lots of new skills and now feel more confident in supporting and de escalating patients on the ward if needed and feel more comfortable in being able to protect myself and safely securing. Ben was very professional and informative every step of the way and also made the course enjoyable at the same time. Many thanks
