AI summary of reviews

Practical, confidence-building teaching is the provider’s clearest strength: attendees consistently praise knowledgeable, patient and personable trainers who explain clearly, use real-life scenarios and keep groups involved. They value the strong blend of theory, demonstrations and hands-on practice, which makes learning memorable and builds confidence to respond at work and in everyday emergencies. Courses are generally well paced and supportive, although some attendees report occasional issues with pre-course communication, online systems or certificates.

Joni was a great trainer. She was friendly, welcoming, organised and knowledgeable. She created a good atmosphere for learning and was keen to share her experiences. Re the materials- I felt that it was quite slide heavy, and a few more interactive activities would have been useful. The activities that were used were really powerful and insightful, and the course would only have benefitted from more of them. The videos were really good, hearing lived experience was great. A video of someone applying ALGEE in different situations would have been great to demonstrate the various parts. We watched the one about hearing voices, and saw how parts are applied but more examples might be helpful.

The Racquets Club did not have very comfortable chairs for the full three day course. I felt like though the DR ABC & CPR (plus a few bandages) stuff was great and I feel confident with it because we practiced it, everything else was too much to take in via slides without any practical. The course could benefit from an extra two days to fit these bits in, otherwise when I come across anything other than DR ABC I'm just going to be looking to treat for shock, and not remember anything else. If I don't remember it, what's the point? Having said that I want to stress that I am pleased I attended the course and gained the useful experience I did off of a great personable and knowledgeable trainer Taff.

Response: Carl, Thank you for your response. Having looked into the course in question I can see that you were booked onto a 2 day FAW requalification course whilst only in possession of a 1 day EFAW. All bookings between your company and ours are generated via your company booking systems. I am sorry for any confusion.
