Helen was fantastic all around. The course was expertly delivered and she stressed on all the right areas, patiently taking questions, and ensuring we came to a sufficient understanding of the course content. The course was very helpful to highlight the various mental health issues that we may face, and taught me what to expect when dealing with them. I would say I am significantly more confident in being a MHFA, but know that with experience and time I will get better.

The course was really informative. The different videos & scenarios were interactive and helped bring the Algee model to real life. A real powerful video of the chick and the golden nugget too.

It was an excellent course. Very informative and helpful. I'm coming away from it a lot more informed of what I can do to help anybody who might be in this situation. Thank you

I thought the course was very interesting and informative and Sharon was a really good trainer. She has a great personality and I could really imagine myself speaking to her in the workplace if I had a problem. I do have a couple of constructive criticisms though; 1. I thought the first morning was incredibly slow and repetitive. It got to 1240 and I don't feel that we had learned anything that any of us didn't already know. I would've preferred to get straight into it and not wasted time with 'getting to know' the other attendees as I didn't think it was relevant on this particular course. 2. Better communication required from organisers of the event in terms of the location. There is no canteen on site and only a pretty bad coffee machine available. Half and hour for lunch is not really long enough to trek over to Greggs, queue, walk back again, eat and catch up quickly with work emails. I feel that it should be made clear in all correspondence that own lunch should be brought to the course and that there is no free tea, coffee or biscuits. I would have expected a cup of tea and a digestive for the cost of the course. Diolch yn fawr
