The program made me think about whether I actually want partnership, what it takes to get there and what the sacrifices are/will be especially in terms of my family etc. It also gave me more confidence about my career overall. I personally think there is some repetition across the various modules and that the content could be streamlined somewhat but it is extremely helpful. All I need now is some head space to think about my goals and implement them!
A great presentation. Perfect "bite sized" chunks gave the maximum impact.
The course made me think but I wasn’t clear on the relevance of the challenge and support session to the process of helping me progress in my career in a law firm in particular. In relation to the 4 pillars session I also didn’t really understand how this was helpful to my personal ultimate goal although it was interesting to discuss. The event part was really helpful and the 8 questions part of the session was really useful.
Should be aimed predominantly at colleagues at the start of their career journeys
While the session was useful in terms of making me think and encouraging me to ask questions regarding my progression, there was a lot of talking during the session and in the break out rooms about issues/negatives with the partnership process but not many solutions or suggestions offered in terms of actioning these issues.
This course was really helpful with a lot to consider and implement. Great pace and presentation by Anne and Lou. Anne was particularly helpful in generously spending extra one on one time with me to discuss the concepts.
I've found each of these modules very worthwhile, and today was no different. My confidence has grown and having the expertise of both Lou and Anne so generously offered has been invaluable. Developing a better understanding of the difference between mentors and sponsors has helped me realise one of my mentors is really poised to make the switch if I ask, whilst I also recognize I need to consider new mentors in areas I would like to further develop my capability.
Really great course and I think even better virtually
Really useful especially sponsors and mentors and the negotiating tools. Will use that in current situations. Have done Bolton and Bolton before and is very similar to Spotlight however always good to consider other's preferences. The personal CV bit was very insightful thank you Anne for sharing. Really made me think about my own experiences.
