The course seems adequate to present and allow for learning of the concepts within, I just do not currently see the value in it. Maybe if I try to apply for a job which is based on process management or has some sort of business management aspects it will be useful, but as part of a Computer User Support Specialist role, these concepts do not seem like they will apply to my daily work. They seem to be useful for management and upper level decision making and not the entry level work I will be doing.
It is a good course. It could probably be taught in a more compressed fashion
We didn't do many labs in class. The instructions for the labs weren't clear so it took me a min to figure out how to move the components. A video before doing labs might be helpful. Make sure that the instructors understand that this is a new industry for most of us so we need simple ways to understand the information. I know that you all can't control the length of the courses so we need every tool to help us be successful.
need better lab or more so need to have labs explained in greater detail
The instructor is an SME with a passion about the content. The information is dry through slides but I suppose you have to go through them. I would recommend finding a way to add questions or "comprehension check" questions at the end of each module. As well a way to incorporate more discussion to facilitate learning. There is a lot of material to cover and discussions would lead to less time to go through it so i suppose more knowledge checks would help. Night classes are generally the time we have to give to a class so having homework is a bit challenging trying to find extra time.
For CompTIA A+ 1001 specifically, I cannot recommend the instructor that I had in the slightest. However, the IT Pro TV and TestOut materials were quite good.
Great learning environment, and great presentation.
I had an awesome experience in the ITIL4 Foundation course. I learned plenty of stuff.
