The course was very informative and provided me with information that I was unaware of before. I am now also more confident in being able to spot signs of mental health issues and how to approach situations.

Overall the sessions were very informative. Quite challenging doing them on Zoom, but still good. Prefer classroom style

Really Enjoyable course, learned a lot and gained new skills as a result.

Very informative course would have preferred face to face but not possible due to COVID. A few technical issues so discussions not really possible but very interesting and I feel much better informed.

Useful and the group interaction was at just the right level as it's not my favourite bit. Loved the music idea

Great course and I now have a better insight into first aid for mental health.

Very enjoyable course and the MHFA manual was very beneficial to enhance knowledge in more depth. Break out activities worked well along with the video clips and it was really good to have a refresh course on mental health first aid. I look forward to putting the learning into more practice.

Overall excellent experience. I really enjoyed the 2 day course, I am now equipped and feel confident to apply the ALGEE model. Really informative. Everyone should get the chance to do this.

I thoroughly enjoyed the course and the e-learning - I did find myself a bit shy in the first lesson but after coming out of my shell a bit more as the lessons progressed I really enjoyed it. I think the e-learning should be highlighted before the course induction, or the same day as the induction, via an alternative method (e.g. in the login email) - this is just because not everyone was in the induction so they would have missed the part about the e-learning until we received the later emails which would have given them a shorter period of time. The e-learning part of the course though was extremely helpful and informative and I think having that bit more time would be beneficial to allow more detailed notes to be taken. I also think having a digital copy of the handbook would be useful to keep, to make sure we have the information to hand for future use that we can access even on our mobiles.

For me personally, someone who has little experience and knowledge surrounding MHFA, I was able to actively listening to both Simon, Nick and the other attendees and I was encouraged to engage and share my thoughts and opinions as much as possible, which was very welcoming. Simon and Nick presented very well and you could clearly see that they are passionate about this training/sector and they gave really good examples/scenarios, which then led to very open and honest discussions within the entire group. Great sessions/webinars and I found that completing the interactive modules beforehand was very useful for my learning and development.
