Practical scenario work and repeated use of the ALGEE framework help attendees translate mental health first-aid principles into calm, supportive action. They value knowledgeable, empathetic trainers who create safe, inclusive discussions, maintain a clear pace and encourage learning from peers. The blended modules, videos, handbook and breakout exercises build understanding and confidence that transfers to work and personal situations, although some find the online manual awkward to navigate.

Excellent course, and well directed by the instructors. It was clear what was expected of us, how we should approach the modules and discussions, and that our wellbeing was being cared for throughout.

Course was presented in a fantastic manner with plenty of time to go through each module and exercise thoroughly. Our own mental health was also taken into consideration whilst discussing difficult topics.

I thoroughly enjoyed this course and Alan was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I learnt some great tips and gained a greater understanding into psychosis. The material to keep will also be invaluable

Found the course really informative, I feel much more prepared going into a scenario. I personally find engaging in face-to-face learning easier.

I thought it was an excellent course and I am really glad I attended. It gave a fantastic insight to a sometimes little known world that people tend to shy away from. I had recently taught a class of refugees and heard some disturbing stories... this course made me realise the importance of recognising signs of mental illness, especially in people who had perhaps had negative and unimaginable experiences. I feel the course has provided me with the tools to help signpost people who are suffering some sort of mental illness to obtaining the correct professional help and support. It has also helped me understand the issues my own son experienced when he was experiencing psychotic episodes. Thank you for affording me the opportunity to help him and other people...it is greatly appreciated.
