I feel confident and equipped to make sure the person I support feels safe and secure in my care. I am aware of the legislation and regulations I need to abide by. I have learnt restraint is the last result and i will always remind myself of this statement

The course had great content that was relevant to the client group we support with learning disabilities and autism. The structure of the course was just right and pitched to keep the learners engaged. Ben was very engaging, willing to work with us to encourage group discussion regarding thinking of strategies that can be used to prevent the need for physical intervention. Ben was open to listening to staff views and listening to staff information and experiences of the person we support. I have written down a lot of ideas during this course to take back and add into the support plan regarding strategies and tools.
