RRN Level 3: Restrictive Physical Intervention reviews

4.9 (6,141 reviews)
AI summary of reviews

Practical, safety-focused learning is the course’s defining strength: attendees say it links clear theory on positive behaviour support, de-escalation, law, dignity and least-restrictive practice to step-by-step demonstrations, realistic scenarios and repeated practice. They value knowledgeable, patient and approachable trainers who use humour, lived experience and feedback to keep demanding subjects engaging, inclusive and easy to understand. The well-organised sessions build confidence that transfers directly to supporting children, patients and service users at work, although some find the theory lengthy.

I learnt a lot from the course regarding breakaway skills and physical restraints I found it helpful that we were reminded of the de escalation skills The member of staff on each of the day 2 and Ben on day 3 were respectful when doing the physical skills ensuring that we all felt comfortable To make the course better I would make the theory less PowerPoint and more engaging like a game of kahoot ect

Found the training to be a really good session, trainer was great and always ensured everyone understood/got involved/encouraging also. Found the practical sessions also very helpful with developing confidence getting to grips with the holding techniques, and trainer getting involved to ensure the holds were done correctly was great. Overall excellent training session!

Response: Thank you, Kerry. We appreciate your feedback and are pleased to hear you had a positive training experience. It’s great to know Paul’s clear and supportive delivery helped build your understanding and confidence throughout the session.

It was a good course. Ben is engaging and ran the course well. I do feel that today was very repetitive from the second day course previously done. The safe holds are very good

Today’s session was really interactive, provided an understanding of how a restraint would feel and how to complete this safely. The different restraints help put this in perspective.
