I preferred the old structure of the sessions - one week of sessions 4 days in a row followed by the exam on the 5th, however this is fine too.

This is the first STEP course I have attended and unfortunately I do not feel as though the workshops provided me with much in terms of learning. It was largely focused on the specific answers which I felt was more learnable through reading the material itself. I do not feel as though the course was set up for the individual to be 'exam ready'. Other than being directed to the example answers we were not taught how to answer / structure the exams questions to get the best possible marks. Having workshops once a month for an extended period is not the best way to retain information for the exam. I understand previously the model had been to complete a 5-day workshop in the week leading up to the exam which is a much better way to retain the content. Having the course delivered online is not the most practical way for learning as there is too many opportunities for distractions, lack of focus for others on the calls, interruptions, lack of engagement, etc. I honestly feel as though the workshops offered very little value, and if I were to spend that time studying on my own I may have learned more. Considering the large study / exam fee we are paying per course I was disappointed with the output.
