It wasn't clear that we were in the right place and I couldn't get in the door at the beginning of the day. Once in, the room, etc. was fine but some idea that we were at the right venue and where the course was being held would be helpful.Response : Dear Anna Thank you for your feedback on Coursecheck which I have passed on to our venue manager. The room was much bigger than last time which made it easier to study and break off into groups. Drinks provided were fine.

The majority of the modules I completed were interesting, relevant and encouraged self learning. When I met Davina or spoke to her on the phone she was very friendly, knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. I did learn a lot from the course and I have been able to take this learning into my current role. My main issues with the entire course were two fold: 1) the length of time it took to have my work marked. On nearly every module Davina said that the normal turn around time for marking had been increased due to the volume of work. Each time I waited an additional week or two before chasing for feedback. This delayed my progress and meant I did not finish until the very last month my course was due to run until. I had intended and planned on working to a stricter time frame and completing the course earlier. 2) the VLE was utterly useless. It did not have much content for my modules (especially the earlier ones).Response : Dear Anthony Thank you for completing the feedback report on CourseCheck and I am pleased you enjoyed the course. I have noted your comments regarding marking and the VLE. We take all feedback very seriously at Watson Martin Partnership and will be reviewing our marking times particularly for candidates like yourself who aim to finish the course well within the time frame provided. The majority of our candidates find the VLE very useful but I agree it can depend on the units chosen. WMP offers the widest choice of CIPD optional modules provided by any centre and some of the L&D units, for which there is sometimes less demand, are still in the process of being uploaded on to the site. We are working hard to complete this as quickly as possible. Congratulations on achieving your qualification and best of luck in your career going forward.

It was disappointing that the trainer had been given the wrong venue, therefore the workshop was half an hour late in starting. Course was bit rushed to fit everything into to timescales.Response : Dear Lindsay. Thank you for your comments. I am sorry you experienced a short delay at the start of your workshop. We had several events running at different venues on the same day which is why this mistake occurred. Other feedback about the workshop has been positive and we are pleased that you found the overall experience and content useful.

It may be an idea to say that the office is next to the theatre where Wicked is running. Melinda is my advisor and it was really nice to be able to spend time with her and gain from her knowledge. As with these courses some people speak more than other and whilst useful when an open discussion I felt some people prattled on. Melinda was very good at bringing back the focus on the questions in hand.

Although I was advised that the course was suitable for someone not working in the industry, I did not find this to be the case. All my submissions required evidence of understanding based of workplace examples/activities which I did not always have access to.Response : Hi Pascale, thanks for your useful feedback. We appreciate that the assignments do ask for references to a company they know well but we find that candidates in your position are able to use experience from their roles in previous jobs and this usually works well. This is why we advise that candidates don't necessarily have to be working in the industry to study at this level but they do require some knowledge of an organisation. We can also provide case studies to help candidates overcome this issue. Congratulations on achieving your qualification and good luck in your future career.

The structure of the course was very useful. Being able to work through the assessment templates and discuss them with the trainer and other learners has made me much more confident to complete the module.

The lecturer was fantastic, enthusiastic and clearly knows the topic very well. Venue was great and in a great location.
