Too much material to cover in time available. Too many candidates for space. Practical component chaos. Depending on group assigned to lack of willingness of candidates to engage. Needed input/guidance from trainer to check candidates doing practical component... but too much going on to realistically do this for all. Could have done with a biscuit at break time. Trainer good communicator and clear presenter. Attempted interaction with candidates but hard going to get much of a response. Introduction regarding candidates asking questions or trying to trip up trainer 'a bit off putting' (but I presume was based on experience of some candidates acting inappropriately in previous sessions, and fair enough). Felt inhibited to ask questions. Didn't need to know personal information e.g. neurodiversity or sexual orientation as this was apparent. Location difficult for parking since busy town centre. Training room too small. One of the worst training days I have attended with regard to learning and brushing up on practical skills. Components of training inappropriate for my workplace setting e.g. use of hoist and other mobility appliances. From a personal view I think it would be better to do most of this online apart from the practical components. This then would enable presentation of the slides at a speed the candidate was comfortable with and the the addition of MCQ's would test understanding and knowledge.

I am a speech and language therapist and neurodevelopmental practitioner so I already knew all of this and found the course info quite basic and not very relevant to Oliver McGowan
