Value proposition needs looking at in my opinion. Fruit / pens / notepaper - welcoming environment. Would like course handouts and something tangible to take away. Signposting for the training on the door to direct people in. Darren was very good and knowledgable. Will implement a lot of the ideas learnt. Would be better with more people for peer feedback. Understanding of ILM certificate and what it means could be beneficial.
Really well delivered training with great tips on how to apply the theory and knowledge to practice. Dan gave his experience and demonstrated how this can be applied in any setting. Felt well organised with enough time to put the theory into practice during the sessions.
Darren was a really engaging trainer and created a cohesive training group with all participants. He made it fun and also a safe space to practice our skills. He gave fair and constructive feedback. Really enjoyable and would definitely recommend.
I still feel I’m missing practice. But on-the-job training is the best.
This course was much more than I expected, I thought it was going to be a PowerPoint heavy tick box, like most of the courses I have completed, it developed me as a trainer giving me confidence in my own delivery style and approach to content creation. Darren was encouraging and engaging and showed a real passion for this course. I didn’t realise how much I was going to look into my own approach to the training I deliver guided fantastically by Darren his feedback was understandable and relatable to my own journey. To be able to spend such an amount of time considering how to develop into an effective coach, exploring models and discussing in depth so many aspects of coaching has felt a real privilege. Laura has been professional, approachable and encouraging throughout. She has a natural way of putting you at ease and encouraging you to discuss in depth. She has a depth of knowledge that she draws on and links to your own organisation and situation. The opportunity to be coached as part of the training has also been invaluable. Excellent two days, good level of delivery, team tasks and actual coaching. Good to get the print outs.
I think the course was delivered very well and was able to hit three very different types of training for the three delegates, was constantly forcing us to think critically about our training styles. Only thing that I did not take away from this was tips on how to deliver remote training but Laura has said that she will share some helpful slides so that will be a great help
Darren, you were a fantastic trainer- thank you. You were really encouraging even when challenging us which is a great skill. I've seen my own skills improving over the course of the 3 practice sessions which has made me feel much more confident. Genuinely this has been the best training course I've been on in the last 3 years. Venue was lush too- very comfy and creative.
