The course was well structured while also linking the main points together throughout the entire session.
Today’s Zoom session helped me understand the importance of attachments and the key person system when working in a nursery setting. I learned that building a strong, trusting relationship between a child and their key person helps children feel safe, secure, valued and supported. This is important for their emotional wellbeing, confidence and development. I also learned that good attachments help children settle into the nursery environment and build positive relationships with staff and other children. Overall, the session helped me understand the importance of providing consistent care, comfort and support to meet each child’s individual needs.
I though the course was a good pace and I enjoyed how engaging it was. It didn't feel like you were just listening the whole time.
