I thought it was very insightful and helpful regarding how to be helpful for those in crises, for various mental health reasons. I loved the breakout room sessions, and how we werne't always paired with the same people - it gave us a chance to discuss more informally and get to know people better. I found the mental health manual really helpful and will continue to use it moving forward. I would've loved for the course to have been in person but understand that current context doesn't allow.

I thoroughly enjoyed this course. The instructors were brilliant, delivering the course knowledgably and with great standards. As a nurse and having a higher possibility of coming into contact with mental health problems, this was a great opportunity. I really enjoyed the open discussions and practical activities. As mental health care is a challenge here, this is a step towards making a positive change and this course motivated us all to be apart of this change. Overall this course was definitely fit for purpose.

The only negative I could possibly raise would be the gap between webinar 1 and webinar 2 but that is not the fault of the trainer at all, that's on our hectic office and all our deadlines etc! The trainer, Ellender (webinar 2), was really friendly, knowledgeable and made the session fly by, there was room for discussions and I never felt like I was being talked AT. Our first instructor (I can't remember her name!) was also really good, she talked about live experience of mental ill health and allowed room for discussion and decompression in talking about suicidality and suicidal ideation and self harm (very sensitive topics). Overall, I would highly recommend the MHFA training course to any one :)
