Compassionate, knowledgeable trainers make challenging mental-health topics feel safe, accessible and engaging, according to attendees. I found the course really insightful and I feel that I can put into practice the skills and techniques that I have been shown, should the situations arise in the future. Tony Pryce is an excellent tutor and his presentation style is relaxed but confident when talking about hard hitting and serious issues. His knowledge base is vast and was able to talk about many of the topics from a first person perspective which I found incredibly helpful. The only downside for the course was the room which had antiquated air conditioning/ heating and the walls and floors were paper thin and so the projector would jump about every time someone moved around the building.

A very worthwhile course. As Head of 6th Form, I quite often have to meet with/support students who are presenting with mental health issues. It is reassuring to know that a lot of what we are doing fits in with good practice but it was also really useful to get some practical tips on the best way to approach issues such as eating disorders and students with potential suicidal thoughts. Also useful to enforce the ALGEE formula and a workbook with some useful contacts and resources for further reading/information. Thank you

The slides and videos in the TEAMS training were a repetition of the on-line training. I understand the reason of reinforcement of information but duplication is more likely to put people off.

The pre modules and the webinars were very repetitive. More role play for the webinars may have been more useful as manager to set the online modules into practice
