Really enjoyed, bit of a rollercoaster week for me, but I am happy to have attended the course with Rhys and Ellender and my group were also amazing.

Becky was brilliant in the delivery of materials. I felt that my own mental health was protected at all times whilst discussing difficult topics. There was a personal element to the delivery and it felt as though we could all openly discuss mental health which leads the way for us as mental health first aiders and proves that it does not need to be a taboo topic. I have come away from this course with more confidence in how to best support someone who may be struggling. I am very grateful for the chance to take part in this course.

Very good course and Belinda was fantastic. The only niggle was assessing the artwork / paintings, whilst I understood the point of it, just felt time was used up looking at artwork where more time could have been given to the discussions we had on certain topics which were very interesting and helpful.

Excellent course, very helpful, excellent tuition. It would be beneficial to have a PDF downloaded of the mental health booklet and I found some of the animations on the modules to be a bit slow and tedious. All in all, really happy with what I have learnt, thank you all.

Rachel was a great instructor and encouraging; included everyone in the discussions and exercises. Very personable and gave some of her own examples of supporting mental health situations which was helpful. Exercises and skills practice was a positive way to engage with MH first aid content and have the opportunity to discuss other peoples opinions, thoughts and perspective on the scenarios we were presented with. The e-learning modules were good and easy to use but there was a lot of spelling mistakes in the slides and some videos felt a little dated.

It was great to have a refresher - the course has been very beneficial both at home and at work. I have had to ask people directly about suicide which although a bit daunting - I could only have done following the training. Thank you.

Really good refresher - revisiting the core ALGEE approach and having time to discuss and confirm actions and understanding. Also good opportunity to discuss with other MHFAs what situations we have used the approach and results etc.
