Knowledgeable instructors. Plenty of kit to work on. Would have liked some more time on protection, but we told the instructor we are all HV SAP trained so they maybe assumed more knowledge known already. Tutor was happy to re visit any areas we asked about. And asked each day if we wanted to see anything in particular or any things we need to go over. Nice Q and A session at start of each day to help prep for exam. Not keen on the signpost system for id of circuits . Doesn't seem to present in any current industry, but a hang up from steel mill of old. In all, helped to re affirm some fundamentals and refresh the memory.

Overall S4 course and course materials are good. Learned switching programs and operation are helpful to work on field. ( commissioning of the Generator and BESS system)

Effective and applicable for daily work

Explanation surrounding the assessment exercise would benefit from some more detail, it’s slightly ambiguous.

Well presented course with good content

Chris was very knowledgeable and helpful. Course content could do with some more variation rather then just over current / earth fault testing. Some G99, directional, distance, differential protection would greatly benefit this course especially as its listed as an advance course. Practical paper could do with a good review as some times are incorrect.

Good course, great venue. Food disappointing.
