Really enjoyed the course. The trainer (Liam) was very engaging and made it fun and interesting. I already was implementing most of it, but I think it will really help me in my practice to match it up to the theory. I have more ideas of how I can positively support the service users during escalation phase, such as more distraction techniques.
The trainer was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. He gave us plenty real life examples and was clearly someone with a passion for giving our service users a good quality of life and reducing behaviours. His language was very positive and the recaps were helpful. The group exercises and lively group meant it was an interesting couple of days. Liam is versatile and professional trainer and an asset to the company. I can see how he added magic to the lives of those he supported as he has playful sense of humour and is creative
Knowledge reading material was really good clear and understanding. The 2 days were well lead and very person centred. Group exercises and non restrictive practises as well as restrictive practice I have gained a clearer understanding to promote back in service . National guidance and legislation info very good
Good interesting course kept us interested throughout.practical activities as well as PowerPoint presentation so we weren’t sat the whole time so kept us wanting to keep learning.friendly and good sense of humour so we felt comfortable
