A big thank you to Melissa (Lissa) for training me over the past few days. I feel i have come away from the course with the confidence to go on and provide the care and support to the service users effectively. She gave detailed knowledge on all sections of the course, answering all our questions and queries throughout. She ensured we understood each section of the workbook before moving onto the next. We had the opportunity at the end of the day to refresh our knowledge giving us quizzes to do which really helped. Her extensive notes and knowledge on the workbook showed how dedicated she is to her role and the service, this reaffirmed why i chose to work for AACS. Lissa gave us time to work as a group and individually never rushing us , coming in new to this i was a little bit anxious, however Lissa made me feel comfortable and relaxed during the entire course. I found the practical side to the course very interesting and informative. Lissa again took the time to teach us all the different holds and release movements, offering constructive feedback and praise. I found the practical side of the course to be taught at the right pace, it never felt rushed, she took the time to allow to us to practice our movements and releases so that we felt confident. Overall a really enjoyable and interesting course, i went away feeling i had the knowledge and skills to perform the role effectively as a Bank Support Worker for AACS.
