There is so much material to cover and more time should be allotted to the course. Overall the course is great.
I think the Syllabus needs to be looked at with respect to achievable benchmarks. I did notice that syllabus was moved to the top of the documents folder, and I think that was great. It made no sense at the bottom. As far as what is required to complete for out of class work, I feel given that this is a night class and most work during the day....you see the dilemma. I understand accreditation requirements and curriculum standards however, if possible fine tune and trim some fat. Overall, I loved A+1001 & 1002, and enjoyed Ron's class.
CompTIA Core 2 is very informative. I learned so much about multiple operating systems, which I can apply to my IT career.
The only suggestion that i have is that a little more time may be helpful to absorb all of the information. It is a lot to learn in a two week time period.
There was too much homework assigned. The class is to compressed for the amount of material delivered by the instructor each night. I believe if the class was extended another week or so, then students would be able to grasp and digest the material better.
The class objectives get covered at a very rapid pace. The instructor is the best at communicating concepts, ideas, examples and ready to give a heads up to important material and pitfalls along the way. The material is a lot and coming at you fast, so retention is not as high as I would like. Brad gives you the necessary skills and knowledge to get you going and with practicing labs and reading the book you should end up with your CCNA cert.
I just struggled to keep up, didn't want to hold the rest of the class back. Many students seem to grasp the information. So it was just me really.
