It's very useful to have learned a step by step guide and approach to help people who might have suicidal thoughts.

Good course in general, but difficult to relate to practice because we are told to stick to a script and not deviate.

As a 111 call handler the content of the course, although very good, was not really relevant to my job role, i feel this could have been condensed and trained in the classroom by trainers. most of the content was aimed at clinical and patient facing employees. i feel a whole 8 hours on 1 subject is very excessive as a training session. will did present the course very well and was very knowledgeable, i just feel i haven't benefitted greatly from 8 hours of course time.

Very well delivered training, instructor was very friendly and made it enjoyable! Training with this stupid matter can sometimes leave you feeling heavy, however I left this training with a sense of hope for the future

I am very glad that this training was given. It is a very important area and I have felt uncertain in the past how to cope with potentially suicidal customers - especially whether I was meant to deal with them or pass to other services. This has given me an awareness of my role as well as the skills needed to carry out that role.
