4.8 (267 reviews)
AI summary of reviews

Attendees particularly value the trainers’ ability to make complex legislation, case law and legal terminology clear, precise and practical. They describe Sue, Steve and Max as knowledgeable, patient, approachable and engaging, using real-world examples, case studies, discussion and group work to connect theory with BIA practice. The course is well structured, with useful materials and a supportive pace that builds confidence in applying the Mental Capacity Act, DoLS and best-interests principles at work, although the content feels intensive for some.

There was a huge amount of materials sent which was a bit overwhelming when received but were useful each day of the course. The law section was very challenging at times and apprehensive how to use for final assignment.

I felt that the course materials and pre-course requirements were a bit disorganised. It would be useful to create a 'handbook' to go alongside the course that contains all the modules, slides and links to videos indicating what section of the course they are relevant to. However, overall the course was informative and well presented. The information, which seemed daunting on days one and two began to come together by day three and began to embed on day four. I listened to our trainer and 'trusted the process' and it worked!
